The Holding Brake achieves a
higher brake torque than the Positioning Brake due to additional
coil springs. The Holding Brake is suitable for holding masses or
loads without friction work. Braking from a low speed with low
friction work is possible under certain conditions (please enquire).
It operates most favourably with the fast acting rectifier
„ROBA-switch“. | |

The Tacho Brake has a fixed
distance ring and on the back face of the coil carrier, a spigot and
three tapped holes. The spigot is concentric with the outer diameter
of the distance ring. This enables tachogenerators to be easily
fitted to the brake via the spigot and tapped

Friction heat which may occur is
dissipated by a thicker armature disc and an open graduated
distance/adjusting ring. The Peak Load Brake can absorb very high
friction work, for example, during an emergency stop. In a normal

The Tacho Peak Load Brake can
absorb high friction work, for example with an „emergency off“
condition due to a special armature disc, the solid distance ring
enabling the existing heat to be dissipated. Due to a recess and
three tapped holes on the back face of the coil carrier, the
tachogenerator can easily be fitted and accurately
mounted. | |
